MY Y FACTORS: “Adventure, Generosity, and Taste.”

Y WISDOM: “Don’t be scared to try new things or go to places you never thought you’d be going; travelling is about letting yourself be amazed by what the world has to offer.”

Y WISHLIST: “Japan would be the number 1 country on my wishlist. I’m very attracted to their culture, cuisine, and anime.”

Growing up in Madrid as the eldest of four siblings, Claudia’s childhood introduction to travel was in the form of family road-trips around Spain (You can only imagine those back-seat jostles for space and cries of “Ya llegamos???” - “Are we there yet?”), European adventures, and trips to South America.  

Originally planning to follow in her mother’s footsteps of a career in nursing, Claudia decided to take a ‘gap year’ before starting university, and as a personal challenge to herself, chose a destination that she saw as the furthest geographical point from where she was, but that was still somewhere that had cultural diversity - and landed right here in Melbourne!  

What started as an 8-month adventure has become a new life, as Claudia fell in love with our city, and is now here to stay.  Working various jobs ranging from babysitting to hospitality, before finally finding her feet in admin & reception roles, we are thrilled to say “Hola!” to Claudia as she joins the Y Travel team as Agency Concierge, bringing along her sunny, calm and organised demeanour to the office.
